Stamp collections may be taken to Prospect Hospice or Helen and Douglas House charity shops in Marlborough High Street.

Used Stamps from letters are often accepted by charities. RNIB welcomes used British and overseas stamps, presentation packs, first day covers and stamp albums.

You need to cut used stamps from their envelope, leaving ½ inch/1 cm border around the edge of the stamp.

Please separate the stamps into:

  1. British
  2. Overseas - Jersey, Guernsey, Eire and Isle of Man are classed as overseas

The value of a stamp does not matter, so 1p stamps can be grouped together with £1 stamps.

Then send to: RNIB Stamp Recycling
PO Box 185
SS7 9BH  (you will need to pay postage)

Also, the Royal British Legion is calling for used postage stamps (UK or international) which can be turned into additional funding for the Poppy Appeal.  Send them to:

Poppy Appeal Stamps, PO Box 6198, LEIGHTON BUZZARD, Beds, LU7 9XT                          Ends:  31/12/2014
